100% Vegan Cooking Class!
Come learn the versatility of vegan cuisine in a small group setting that gets you in the kitchen. We will apply basic cooking knowledge and skills and collectively prepare, discuss and enjoy dishes during this interactive and hands on class. At the end of the class we will enjoy the meal together. Educational handouts and recipes will be included.

About the teacher
Claire Henderson Jain was raised vegetarian and went vegan 13 years ago after the first Capital Region's Vegetarian Expo (currently the Albany VegFest). She works as a research scientist and in her spare time enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, doing arts and crafts and traveling. She completed the Rouxbe cooking course and holds a plant-based nutrition certificate from the T Colin Campbell Center. She and her husband Punit are raising their two children vegan (Avi 3.5 years old and Anika 1 year). Claire currently serves on the board of the Capital Region Vegan Network and is a former president of the organization. She hopes to be a resource to anyone who is interested in exploring veganism.
